The Bible says that Jesus came so that we may have and enjoy life; a full and abundant life! (John 10:10) The reason He came as a man to earth to die and to take the punishment for our sin is so that we can live a life free from guilt, shame and fear, and instead live a full, rich life in freedom. Therefore, we are no longer content merely existing, we are ready to enter into the fullness of all that Christ died for.

We are no longer defined by culture, race, fashion choices, clothes size, social standing, wealth, or religion, we are defined by our Creator, God.  He intricately and uniquely designed each of us and knitted us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). He knew every step we would take on our journey before we even knew how to walk (Psalm 139:16). He offers to empower us, not with a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and of self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). And He equips those who choose to walk in His ways with gifts (1 Peter 4:10) to help us complete the unrivaled race that has been set out before us (Hebrews 12:1).

Forget where you have been and consider, now, where you are going. It is what is ahead that matters, not what is behind. When we give God everything, He can restore all that has been broken, hurt or lost. We find our identity in God, our Heavenly Father, not in our own, earthly circumstances.

He has a specific purpose that He has created you for and prepared you for. He is using every experience, every lesson, every mistake, every regret, and every hurt to prepare you for His purposes and to reveal His glory to the world in which you live. Too many people live mere adequate lives while nursing a restless heart; a heart that God created for adventure.
